For me it was something my grandmother would serve up: ice cream with sliced banana and custard on top. Deceptively simple but amazing.

Anything Sara Lee. Though, my mum was an excellent cook. She could have made Bread and Butter pudding look bougie.

  2. callard and bowser nougat, served with those square after dinner mints that came in little envelopes.

Viennetta for classy times, but otherwise vanilla ice cream with the largest possible proportion of Ice Magic on top.

  4. Golden syrup dumplings with cream/ice cream & bread and butter pudding.
Always used to finish off a Sunday lunch with a black and gold strawberry frozen cheesecake at my grandparents.

  5. This was rich people’s deserts.

Our goat dessert was stewed plums and burnt custard 🤮

Chocolate Bavarian. But the old school kind with the white stuff on top and the plain biscuit base.

You can only get the ones with a chocolate base now and I’m sad.

No one will remember but the Black & Gold home brand choc chip chocolate ice cream was unbelievable.

  8. Ooo Viennetta. Haven’t had that in literal decades! But when that bad boy came out of the freezer you knew it was Christmas or something

White bread, margarine, cinnamon & sugar.

    We were poor.

But that shit is great and I’ll fight about this til the day I die.

We didn’t have much money to spend, but we always had a pack of zooper doopers in the freezer

  11. Forget store bought desserts.. it was and still is a bread and butter pudding.

Also, there is not enough Milo in that third pic.

  12. Self saucing cakes. There is something incredibly wholesome about mum microwaving a store bought cake mix.

  13. My mum made lemon delicious from scratch

I don’t know if it gets better than that
