  1. This topic has come up before with sports grants, but is it right that private schools receive public funds?

  2. SnaggleWaggleBench on

Am I on my own in thinking that 9 million is cheap if it takes a huge step towards effectively removing phones from schools?

And I’m not sure who’s supposed to be enraged by this headline, but the funding should be for every school and child regardless?

  3. They’re not “controversial”.

If the evidence is that it’s a good policy for schools, and that funding these storage models can improve education for children, then why would we not fund *all* schools in the same way?

Yes, some kids will always find ways to defeat it, but if you sit down and think of it this is probably the best solution to try at this point.

  6. The Indo creates these articles because they know it’ll be linked and shared by the lunatics on Twitter and the lunatics on Reddit who will literally moan about every single thing the government ever does. Easy clicks.

These mobile phone pouches are the easy target this year for drumming up mindless hysteria.
