North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has strongly criticized President Yoon Suk Yeol for his remarks at a recent military day event, calling him an “abnormal man.”

The North’s state Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) said on Friday that Kim issued the criticism during his visit to a training base of the special operation units of the Korean People’s Army on Wednesday.

Kim reportedly said that Yoon “bragged about overwhelming counteraction of military muscle at the doorstep of the state possessed of nuclear weapons and it was a great irony that caused the suspicion of being an abnormal man.”

It marks the first time in about two years that Kim criticized Yoon mentioning his name.

Kim then warned that the country would not hesitate to use all available offensive forces including nuclear weapons if the enemy attempted to use force to encroach on its sovereignty.

The report came three days after President Yoon said during his speech at a ceremony commemorating the Armed Forces Day that any attempt by North Korea to use nuclear weapons would result in the “end of the regime.”
