The CBC and organizations like it are VITAL to keeping democracies liberal.
In an age with AI generated articles, investigative reporting becoming increasingly illegal all over the world, legislated news organizations are more important than ever.
They don’t need to make money, shouldn’t be judged on that metric and worth every single penny.

This is exactly what Canada needs right now. Why would we allocate more resources to house development, bringing clean water to Indigenous communities, reducing unemployment or other social needs when we can just give more tax payers money to an already heavily biased news outlet!
