Pretty sure some of the architecture remains on the east side after St Kilda Junction. The west side of the street was widened so it looks like crap today.

Entire blocks of shops were demolished in order to create this wider arterial entry point from the Nepean Highway into the city. Crazy to think that this was once a main road/shopping strip, only one generation ago, but now completely wiped from public consciousness. This is what it looks like now: [https://imgur.com/a/SHAXS0l](https://imgur.com/a/SHAXS0l)

Brighton Road did not change. What was High St is now St. Kilda Rd.
