I have no experience or qualifications in snake identification of any kind. But I want to to say the head looks like an eastern brown so that’s my guess. Also it’s daytime and it isn’t phased by humans.

If I see a python no problem but yeah that’s a nope snake. Only red belly black I’ve seen in wild were smaller and you could definitely see the red. I used to see few snakes around Wynnum area, Iona college.

this type…. but seriously it’s an Eastern Brown, very distinctive head and they get the stripes like that when they are that huge.
