North Korea is sending what appears to be trash-carrying ballons toward South Korea.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff(JCS) said that North Korea began another balloon launch at around 5:20 a.m. Wednesday and the balloons are likely to fly toward the capital region and northern Gyeonggi Province.
The JCS warned the public to be aware of falling loads of objects and upon discovery of such balloons, to not touch them and to report them to a nearby military unit or police station.
It comes ten days after the previous trash balloon launch.
In late September, the JCS warned that the South Korean military will take “stern military measures” if it decides North Korea has crossed the line or if it inflicts serious damage on the South Korean people with its trash ballon campaign.
