    As per [original article](https://www.rawstory.com/jd-vance-popularity-2669304157/) 📰:

    – Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) has been Donald Trump’s running mate for nearly two months, and a polling expert was stunned by his inability to improve his standing with voters.

The Ohio Republican remains underwater in favorability, at negative-11 points, compared to a plus-four favorability rating for Kamala Harris running mate Tim Walz, and CBB’s Harry Enten said he’s never seen ratings as poor as Vance has put up.

“Oy vey, when it comes to J.D. Vance,” Enten said. “This is the net favorable ratings. Look at that minus-11 points for J.D. Vance — no bueno. Let’s jump to the other side of the screen. Tim Walz, look at that a plus-four net favorability rating, the highest of any of these four folks on the screen.”

Harris enjoys a plus-one favorability while Trump wallows at minus-nine.

“Right now, the Democrats are better liked than the Republicans, but Walz slightly better liked than Kamala Harris,” Enten said. “J.D. Vance has actually, if anything, been a drag on the Republican side of the ticket, while Tim Walz has actually, if anything, helped Kamala Harris up a little bit. But the bottom line is here, this negative-11 points no good. This plus-four points, pretty good in today’s polarized environment.”

Vance and Walz will face off Tuesday in the vice presidential debate, and Enten said the GOP nominee was heading into that with unprecedented unpopularity.

“This is something I’ve been harping on throughout this entire cycle,” Enten said. “So this is V.P. nominees with a net negative favorability rating going into their first vice presidential debate. J.D. Vance here at minus-11 points, the worst all time going into their first V.P. debate. The only other person in negative net favorability territory is Dan Quayle back in 1988 with a minus-three point net favorability rating. If you know anything about V.P.’s and the way that folks view them, you do not want to be in the company of Dan Quayle.”

“J.D. Vance is in the company is actually in a worst position going into his first debate, then of course, Dan Quayle was going into his first debate in 1988,” Enten added. “Of course, that debate did not go very well as he ran into the buzzsaw, known as Lloyd Bentsen.”

Just so the Republicans know, especially after the CBS this morning: We don’t like VANCE, and we will not like him more after the debate.

He has serious personal issues and has trouble creating a likeable persona because of it. Honestly I can’t understand how he was ever elected to any office.

Vance for the win! Who’d a thunk that someone could actually overtake Ted Cruz as the most reviled politician ever.

‘His running mate for nearly two months’

    It’s been TWO MONTHS?!

I feel like I’ve had to hear about this asshole for years at this point.

There are very few other people I can think of who have such nonexistent charisma. Even Trump, for all of his evils, has a shameless, childish, in-your-face bombast that his appeal comes from. Vance, meanwhile, is a corpse wearing eyeliner.

  7. Just a reminder that unpopular pieces of shit can, and often do still win elections.

Since facts and polls seem to be of little use this year, all I can suggest is that you vote.

  8. Given the slurs MAGA has been calling his wife, he’s probably not very popular at home either!

  9. He admits that he fabricates all of these falsehoods. He literally caused unrest in a town in the state he represents. He has some sort of weird hang-up with childfree people, and people need to hide their couch cushions whenever he walks into a room. I’m surprised it’s not more than -11.

  10. If my husband would have woke up and put eyeliner on i know he done gone to other side😂

Does anyone assume that Trump will last for four more years? If he doesn’t, Vance will be the prez. Are we ready for that?
