I wonder if they could bring Ukraine into NATO during the winter ceasefire with the restriction that it doesn’t apply to currently occupied territories. A foot in the door that protects against further expansion but doesn’t directly involve NATO conflict with Russia.

Biden is a lame duck, he has limited influence on whatever will happen in the future. It’s too late in his term for him to get anything big done.
