Welcome to regulation, where suspicious activity linked to possible fraud gets your account locked.
Whether you were doing it or not, breaking Australian law or not, thats got nothing to do with kraken but with your governments rules and regulations.
Yknow the ones only the rich can break.

One of your transactions likely sent coins to an address that has been associated with illegal activity.
This usually happens when you buy drugs from the dark web. You naughty little devil.

someone accidentally sent $1,000 worth of btc to my account and then a few days later kraken shut down my account without an explanation too. so i figured it was the $1000 btc that did it because they did not let me withdraw that.

Isn’t there a kraken representative in this sub? Maybe try asking for their help.

jeez. What does it mean – “We are unable to provide the reason”. clowns!
Switch to WhiteBIT or OKX, their support really supports in my experience at least

Just move on. They did the same to mine and I hadn’t made a transaction on it in forever when they did. No illicit activity yada yada. Everyone here will likely give you shit but honestly I think kraken just closes out accounts from time to time.

What coins did you deposit or withdraw?

This is not a Kraken thing. They are bound to laws just like any other big exchange and they cannot give you a reason. There might be an investigation against you.
