I’m always shocked when I see these ultra-close-range engagements by tanks. I assumed the HE rounds would have a minimum range at which they explode, but is seems like they can be used at 20 meters no problem. It must be super effective, because UA tank crews also seem to prefer this to using co-ax or HMG fire for this kind of suppression of enemy trenches.

I’m pretty sure the force of air movement from the blast that close even if you aren’t hit by the projectile itself is going to burn and hit like a ton of bricks. Plus anything the projectile hits on its way to detonating is just bonus shrapnel so it makes sense.

Imagine sitting in a trench and a tank pulls up to clear it. I would SHIT myself. What hope is there? What do you do? Shoot explosives at it and hope for the best? Run?

“Cleared” seems to be a slight understatement.

Drone almost hit at 0:09? The shot and the turbulence almost coincided.

Isn’t this from 2023? I think there was a Russian that survived and there is an interview with him where he was describing the situation

I looked at the 30th brigade tg. It’s not in the recents. I saw this reposted in other tg channels as well. Someone dug it up it seems.

Always wondered why there is no bulldozer assault like in desert storm and bury the trenches.

Anyone else notice the guy running in the upper middle of the screen after the tank blast smoke clears a little? He falls towards the end like his adrenaline gave out

Couple of neutral turns over the top of the dugout, job jobbed. Death and burial in one convenient 38 ton package.
Get T-intersectioned!
Jesus dude.
If it’s worth shooting once, it’s worth shooting a lot of times.
