I think Trump is like a child trying to feel out just how far he can take things before his own side/people push back against him, I think that’s what all of this has been for the last 8 years. Turns out there are very few things they won’t push back on so he just keeps getting crazier and crazier because he revels in the notion of being able to do horrible things and get away with it. I think that’s a big driving force for him in general. He loves getting away with things and sadly a lot of the types of people who would vote for him also like the idea of getting away with things.
