  1. Don’t hear much about the Israeli Navy. I guess their adversaries don’t really have them and their air force is much more varied and effective for the kinds of things they need to do, so they don’t need to invest much in it.

  3. As a petroleum engineer, it’s nice to see that rigs can be defended at least in principle. They are powder kegs that can’t be armored, they have at most a double hull. A specialized missile can breach that.

    We’re doing Battleships again? Bring the USS Texas out of retirement and strap it with lasers and a nuclear reactor!
