  1. could you imagine if something like this truly worked?

    > there are 3 matches in your area who would love to nurture a pizza-eating redditor to make babies

  2. The government will figure out how to artificially create life before ever giving workers more money and time off .

  3. At least the government has an incentive for people to actually meet each other unlike the companies running dating apps.

  4. The thing about Dating apps and services is that they are actually so good at what they do now that if there was no economic incentive from dating services to keep you on the service longer by giving you bad results on purpose mixed in with good results then you’d find *a lot* of great dating prospects *all the time*.

The Tokyo government clearly has no provision stopping them from competing with commercial entities, and they have no incentive to keep you on the service, so they went for it. This is likely to be successful if they can match (pun intended) the commercial services out there.

It’s super easy to use: Simply connect to wifi, download the app, find your waifu.

Singles in your area are despondent, underpaid and overworked – so act fast!

Seriously, we need a not-for-profit dating app, that doesn’t try to game the matches, and keep the users scrolling for ever.

  7. This is the “Men will literally X instead of going to therapy” for governments. They will invent mind-control techniques to make people fuck each other without their consent before just making life a little less miserable for the everyday worker.
