Last year I hiked Baegundae in Bukhansan. Passed by a small temple by a stream on the way down towards Uidong Valley. It was almost sunset with low lights filtering through the canopy and the monk was performing his evening prayers. It was such a beautiful and melodious prayer although I don't understand what he was chanting. As the sun was setting soon, I didn't stay long or go in as i didnt wanna intrude. I would love to visit it again one day.
I can't find any info on Google maps and I can't find a similar version of korean Buddhist prayer chant online. I can't upload a video here though. You can see from the picture that he seems to be praying in something like an ancestral tablet hall? If that's a thing in korea? May I ask if anyone can give me more info based on this picture? And if I do visit again one day, is it considered disrespectful if I request to video the monk praying?
