Yes, but slowly.
I don’t really expect salary increases to catch up to the current round of inflation though, since the economy is still crap at its core. This isn’t the early 90’s when inflation was happening because people could afford to pay but rather due to higher expenditures for manufacturing and logistics.
But as with any economic event it will eventually come to an end when people just can not afford things anymore or the economical landscape improves

Just the beginning – there are several internationally price-regulated products like lego that are comically cheap right now in Japan due to exchange rate – so either prices go up or exchange rate normalizes
