I never thought I’d agree with Kemi Badenoch, but we shouldn’t be allowing businesses to be bought up by people from countries like Egypt and Qatar. For decades, the interests of women have been totally ignored as hordes of men with backwards attitudes have been allowed to stream in.
Austerity and (at the other end of the spectrum) a blind insistence that problems should be politely ignored because it’s discriminatory to say anything have allowed this.
