  1. Scotland seems to be becomeong the place with the best weather now – uniformly dreich, but not a danger to life and limb.

I fucking hate heavy winds. Scared the crap out of me I panic thinking my house is gonna suffer damage even though it’s been standing strong since the 80’s when houses were sturdy unlike these cheaply made new builds

Fucking hell, every year I forget how cold it gets until it gets cold again. There was flooding near my work place on Thursday and it’s still only September and areas of flooded water on my commute yesterday so cars had to really slow down to get through it which caused some mini traffic jams. The rain I’ve gotten used to after living here all my life but not the wind now too. I don’t even wanna know how much worse it’s gonna get in the coming months, it’s so depressing.

  4. Battered 🙂 I love the creative language they come up with for regular weather events. Boiled, Battered, Frozen. Whipped, Lashed, Torn etc etc. Also read as typical weather.

  5. People thought climate change would mean wall to wall sunshine and hot weather every summer. Now they are finding out the hard way that it just means more and more wet weather because of all the moisture added to the system. It is also going to a number on our harvests at this time of year too. We can expect higher food prices and reduced output as farmers are going to be unable to get out into their fields to harvest crops in sodden fields.

When I was younger I used to think climate change meant we’d get longer, hotter summers.

Turns out we barely get any summer any more and it’s just colder and shitter for longer.
