Excellent news. Glad to see such an odious individual leave the party in government.

What do you reckon she’ll do? Run as an independent or join another party?
I’m not sure if she has strong local personal following but surely they’ll be discontent among constituents.

She only stayed in the party so she could get re-elected. I wouldn’t be surprised if she joins the Tories to continue her culture war nonsence against trans people.

What’s to guess that she jumped before she was pushed, and was one of those briefing against the government.

Bizarre that Duffield is one of the first to throw Starmer’s Labour under the bus when it went out of its way to give her cover despite the concerns and misgivings about her transphobia from many on the left.
A lot in Labour will say good riddance and will be right to, but she is also raising fair points about Labour pushing ahead with policies that will make people poorer against the wishes of the public. Be nice if they were coming from someone not so utterly awful.
