Vietnam says US firm SpaceX plans to invest 1.5 billion dollars in the nation. The company has been aiming to bring its Starlink satellite internet service to the country.
Vietnam’s top leader To Lam met with SpaceX’s senior vice president for global business and government affairs in New York on Wednesday.
Lam asked the company to closely coordinate with Vietnamese agencies and partners to complete the investment procedure.
SpaceX praised Vietnam’s potential for its satellite internet service.
Vietnam has a large customer base for companies.
Its government says it views digital transformation as an important driving force for the future.
