  1. I am happy to report that Coles have always been so thoughtful of the consumers by having their stores decorated with [shiny yellow stickers](https://imgur.com/PhCazjo) all year long. We are blessed to have these Christmas like decorations all year long.

    Thank you, Coles!

  2. Are there any actual meaningful savings to be had, or is another case of “special, save $0.01” and similar?

Edit: 1/2 price, couldn’t see it properly on my phone.

  3. Half the time I walk past these stupid stickers and my brain goes ah yes they were cheaper than that half price special 5 years ago.

Wow does this mean enough people are already shopping elsewhere in protest that it’s making an impact or is this just another bullshit “flex” by Cole’s and what they are really doing is taking the piss? Maybe both? Thoughts…

  5. Looks like a low cycle for these products, the Coles Trend Chrome plugin shows for example the “Olay Regenerist Whip UV SPF 30 Active Moisturiser | 50g” changes prices **weekly** between $30 and $60

I feel sorry for the staff that have to print / place / remove this every single week purely to give the illusion of a sale.

  6. Your in the fragrance aisle. That has always been home to a Chemist Warehouse level of discount labelling.

  7. The wonderful thing about such promotions from Coles’ point of view is that it isn’t Coles which is funding these promotions, it’s the supplier.

  8. On all of life’s critical beauty products, thank christ there’re listening to real people finally /s

  9. I used to buy a oil serum that was $11 half price, this week the same product is $15 half price, do your math Guys and don’t fall for this fake deals!

  10. I worked as a cleaner in Coles six years ago and it’s sad to see these stickers misleading consumers over the years across every aisle. Six years ago, the half price actually meant savings unlike today, it’s dubious.

Anyone else notice how the Coles app suddenly tells you how much certain products used to be?

Example I searched for my deodorant on the app, it’s listed as $5.00 with a tag “Was 9.50 on Aug 24”

  12. Is it just me or do you guys feel that a lot of things are on sale with considerable discounts these days ? I felt the price is going down. Maybe just a feeling because inflation says otherwise!
