My mum was in a hairdresser with some usual characters when this happened. One woman started talking about it “why in God’s name did she leave a baby in the car?”
“…she didn’t. She probably was after getting out of the car and he hopped in”
A few women agreed and said that’s even worse because it’s an impulsive thing rather than being planned.

If he gets away with the “I didn’t know there was a baby in the car” excuse, then every would-be carjacker out there will know, **don’t check the back seats when you’re taking a vehicle. T**hat way you’ll get a lesser sentence if caught. It makes things a lot more dangerous for babies and infants.
