Defense Express reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down a Russian Shahed-136 with SpaceX’s satellite communication system during a recent attack, successfully intercepting 28 out of 32 drones.
Photos obtained by Defense Express reveal a satellite antenna with serial numbers that could help trace the supply channels of the Starlink terminal. It was expected that Russia would begin equipping its long-range UAVs with Starlink, especially since they had previously experimented with 4G modems using Ukrainian SIM cards.

Isn’t the best idea tbh. Russia is tapping into Starlink without authorization. USA and SpaceX are already working to cut them off. Only a matter of time before they don’t have access to the satellites. They likely know that so why even make the attempt?

Looks like Russia is trying to join the “high speed internet on the go” club. Too bad they didn’t read the rules about staying in your own airspace.
