Didn’t Sean Moncrieff and Brendan O Conor host it at some stage or was that something else?

I used to love this programme. Oh, the nostalgia now!

Barry Murphy on Friday night and Moncrieff on Saturday night. As a teenage boy at that time, it was the best TV ever.

That was such a terrific programme. You’d feel like you’d had the perfect amount of booze earlier, and were now enjoying some excellent hash back home. (Introduced me to Pierce Turner, and I’ll never forget that jaw dropping moment)

That show was really how comedy is supposed to be done on tv, Murphy and Moncrief were allowed to be as weird and deranged as they wanted, you felt they had control of their own humour, maybe it didn’t all land and I was too young to understand some of it but the good stuff was very very good.
Now the best we get is that big turnip headed rugby lad doing toe-curlingly bad pranks on confused auld ones in shopping centres. Desperate stuff.
