Don’t airlines generally offer grievance rates that are lower than advertised rates if you tell them you are going to a funeral? I know Southwest does this.
I’m not saying she is wrong, it is just a weird example. Like claiming that in the future, restaurants might use data to figure out it is your birthday and charge extra for dessert

All the bits and pieces already exist. Dynamic pricing, rent price manipulation, risk assessments and rate increase by insurance companies based on drone recon. The list goes on and on.
