A diagnosis of ADHD is defined through observational criteria though (whether self or others, through interview or questionnaire), and as those root behaviours will have a greater propensity for risk taking, this is like saying A is like B because B is like A.

I have ADHD and autism. So I usually look at all the risks involved and weigh them out carefully and try to be responsible and think of my future and then binge on speed all weekend like there’s no monday. My brain is just bad….

Risky is an opinion, depending on your point of view.

For impulsive people it feels bad not doing anything, and feels better acting. I’d say that risk management and planning tend to be poor, but they may not be doing anything inherently risky.
