If they do it I hope the US authorizes the long range strikes on russia, among other things.
I thought any Russian strike on nuclear facilities would bring NATO into the war for real.

There’s a great insight into how Putin thinking goes about the western world way of thinking.
He thought that the western world doesn’t care about human values and that placing a large enough portion of Russian assets, obtained from the privileged trade with them, above 300bln Euros, in their trust would be able to dissuade them from sanctioning him for infringing upon the basic statehood establishing international norms by invading neighbouring nations.
And it worked for Moldova, Georgia, for Armenia, and Ukraine’s Crimea, even the eastern part of Ukraine, but when he dared to challenge the whole statehood of Ukraine, threatening it with dissolution, the EU understood that they were played with.
Nothing short of a complete withdrawal from Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia ( if the elected authority doesn’t concede and lately it seems more inclined to do so ), can compensate for the damage to the reputation of the EU for their enabling tolerance and emboldening of such!
Putin tried to shortcut the western democratic system stewarded world order.
Russia doesn’t need Chinese satellites to spy on Ukraine..

The world should start addressing this as “Xi and Putin’s war in Europe”
Not to state the obvious, but the fact that Russia needs to rely on Chinese satellites to surveil Ukraine is really pathetic.
