  1. “When approach by the daily, the Polish designer said that it was ‘cool’ that the Slovak government had used her designs. “Since your Interior Ministry is a state institution, I hope that they have purchased the appropriate license,” Agnieszka Murphy concluded.”

I don’t know much about Slovak history so couldn’t tell if these are fake or not, but I think it looks nice. The poem is also nice, didn’t know I can read and understand Slovak

  3. Why does that look like some corrupt politician thought “damn, imagine if my weekend cabin was on every new passport”?

  4. It’s like copying homework from all the other passports that did it great and still failing miserably. The Romanian passport features natural and artistic landmarks in our country and the string used to bind it is actually in the colours of our flag – red, yellow and blue.

  5. Is there a place online where I can find design of all pages? I’m a stock photographer, I have some photos of Slovakia. It would be cool to have a photo included in a passport.

Just to add some spice, this obvious fail of our government was not presented as an embarrasment with apologies to the public.

Instead, this was presented by the populist government on a press conference as a fantastic achievment, a great and fresh design and something that everyone can be a proud of.

Which just shows the quality of their judgement, if they truly believe this a banger and not a megafail

  7. If the ‘folklore patterns’ are fake that’s an issue, but the images and poem are exactly the sort of thing I’d expect to see in a passport. It’s better than the current UK design, in which the interior pages contain a generic pattern.
