Fake AI “podcasters” are reviewing my book and it’s freaking me out

  1. I think the most useful work of the A.I in the future will be to serve as an “audience” for human “content”.
    Already humans are buying bots and clicks for their content. With the dead internet, and the demand for output growing 4ever, soon the A.I will be the only thing interested in you.

    Hopefully this will end with us not caring about online validation anymore.

    This really creeps me out. I would never listen to an AI generated podcast. As the author mentioned, a huge part of the appeal of podcasts is the parasocial relationship, the feeling of sharing a moment with other human beings. If I start getting my parasocial relationship fix from a machine, then what am I doing with my life? At that point you’re so far removed from actual human interaction that it feels like you’re isolating yourself from society.

    This is like the AI messing up recipes. Subjective things like this are impossible for these LLMs to “understand” if it even understands anything at all

  4. I don’t know, that podcast “voice” like the “hi guys” opening of sooo many Youtube content grates on me and this is sort of like a concentrated version, maybe have it tone it down?
