I want to share with you the making of brandy at my place. Since I am from Sremac, there is a tradition of growing vines on Fruška Gora since the time of the Romans. I own a chardaklia with several types of grapes, two varieties of red, two varieties of white and two varieties of black, of which one variety is Delivar (an old fragrant, aromatic variety). First of all, these are the varieties that we and our dear people have to eat, and everything that overtakes is made into brandy and/or wine. This year, only brandy. This can be called brandy made from organically produced grapes 😂. I inherited the chardaklija from my late grandfather, which no one wanted to do, so I took it upon myself, and with my grandmother I prepare koma for brandy.
If you’re wondering why I grind the crackers a little, it’s so that the kom would work faster and be ready for brewing brandy.
