While the US and NATO countries engage in “escalation management” to avoid provoking Russia in Ukraine, Russia has engaged the full force of its government and security forces to wage a shadow war against the democratic world.

Democracy in a nutshell. But then again, are you making the case for dictatorships being better because they can execute war more efficiently?

I choose democracy, warts and all.

The US is just trying to avoid a nuclear escalation. The longer they wait the weaker Russia gets. Same with China. The US also doesn’t want to be perceived as a bully. Entire countries exist that blame the US for all its problems.
