Im in a trade that focuses on building hospitals. Any full fledged hospital in a 1st world country will cost at least $2 billion to build. And about another $2 billion to fit out with equipment. Hospitals are expensive regardless of who builds them or is providing the health care. And cost always goes through the roof during construction because of how complex they are vs the time frame for completion.
The alternative is not having a hospital
