Do you really need to check the quality and product range of the goods in the presence of the courier?

I received a message that the goods have been handed over to the courier with a message that the goods must be checked with the courier. I read that I need to check not only that the package is not damaged, but also that the product inside the package is correct.

It seems to me that it shouldn’t be quite right just because no courier has time to wait for people to open their boxes and check things.

I couldn’t find anything about it on the consumer protection page and they probably wouldn’t be able to respond by the time I got the courier, so I’m looking for opinions here.
