  2. If OP wanted a quality truck, he would have read the Consumer Reports reviews and not bought a status symbol.

  3. If someone is dumb enough to buy that particular vehicle, you get what’s coming to you. Save your complaints.

  4. >This isn’t ‘weak’. It spreads across it because it’s so strong it’s breaking itself. The glass is made under pressure. It has multiple layers, and a microscopic flaw will make it fail later.

^ this response to the original post is the most pure copium I’ve ever seen. It should be regulated as a narcotic.

  5. Damn so now they can’t even be cleaned without breaking? Yet another article proving that all you can feasibly do with a cybertruck is take a picture of it which you can use to brag to people who wish they could afford one.

  6. /r/Technology is the place to go when you want to hear about every isolated issue with a particular model of vehicle.

“Oh wow, it says right here that the microfiber cloth voids the warranty. Right under ‘water’ and ‘moisture’ and ‘excessive staring.'”

But I just strolled past another post about Cybertruck windows taking 15 hits by firefighter axe to break through (which hinders their ability to rescue the driver)

Tell your local fire departments about this microfiber cloth trick ☝️🤓

  9. This feature can be disabled in the future with a $6000 OTA upgrade.

And to be accurate, it did not shatter, it underwent a spontaneous unplanned recrystallization.

Greatest vehicle since the Powell Motors Homer.

  10. I’m so confused.

Yesterday I was reading about how firefighters training to get people out of the Cybertruck were having to hit the glass with an axe 14 times to break it.

How can it be so hard to break as to require that much effort with an axe while also being so fragile that wiping it with a cloth breaks it?

  11. it really seems like tesla just didnt bother to put the prototypes though their paces. this stuff should not be happening on a 120k vehicle

  12. Windshields are laminated. They are not tempered glass. Shattering into tiny pieces is literally impossible 🙄

  13. Did you put it in windshield cleaning mode and use the v2 CyberCloth? The v1 CyberCloth is discontinue and no longer approved to clean the front glass.
