Sure, but that obviously only works if there are complete border controls, so Netherlands must be out of Schengen… or even outside the EU if you completely remove a fundamental human right like asylum.

‘The people’ did not chose to use some made up crisis as a means to bypass parliament.

The lack of knowledge..
This is purely symbolic, the letter was sent to an EU entity that has no power to allow an opt out. So the EU didn’t really ‘say no’, they just reiterated rules of the existing treaty.
The letter sent by the NL even acknowledges this, that they need to modify a treaty which requires a negotiation between all EU members and unanimous approval. This is a process that takes years because each country has their wishes once the treaty gets modified.

They really did a lot of effort to find a flattering picture.

Not European but they have formed a government, they are enacting policies that they said they will. Pretty sure Italy and Greece are against hosting illegal asylum seekers.
My point is yes it’s a European union but when they continually force nations to take on board more thn they are comfortable with (it could overload infrastructure, hospitals, schools, whatever) how is it the government who is formed for the peoples’ responsibility to look after immigrants who have essentially forced their way in to the country by the unions policy?

I’m sorry but as a young Dutchie who grew up in poor neighborhoods with divorced parents its very understandable that people are voting PVV (including myself). The immigrant crisis and housing crisis is a real thing, when i was a child i didnt have a stable roof over my head moving 13 times in from the ages 6-10 just because the gov was giving almost all social housing to Syrian immigrants so we went from cellar to a shed in someone’s garden. Everyone who was against those policies was called a Nazi of some sorts by the leftist parties or media even tho VVD was the biggest party there was still always in coalition with the leftist. That this is now happening in the Netherlands is really understandable if you grew up in the over run Syrian/Muslim neighborhoods. Playing outside wasnt really an option bc the chance u’d get stabbed beaten up, police intervention wasnt really an option because they’d be labeled racist. It is one giant shit show and this is nothing more than reaping what you sow.
