Eek… He didn’t know the law. I never used the scooter but 80% of Koreans do not wear helmets too. You don’t see Koreans carrying around a helmet to rent e-scooter on the streets. I prob saw police officer stop one person over the past few years. Government must make these laws known if they want people to follow it.
That law is barely enforced, and yeah even if they get caught it’s a slap on the wrist fine.
I didn’t know you needed a license for an e-scooter. Are they talking about e-scooters like the Bird in USA?
Isn’t this standard?
Educate me, but how is this a slap-on-the wrist?
* Riding e-scooter without license – currently legal fine = 100,000
* No helmet – currently legal fine = 20,000
* Extra person – currently legal fine = 40,000
* Going against the traffic – current legal fine = ?

The article argues that the fine is 300,000. But every single resource, including the government’s website says 100,000 is the fine. So there is a discrepancy between what this article says, and what the government’s legal information, as well as every other article says. Why is this particular article the only correct information?
So where did that 300,000 come from and why is this slap on the wrist?
And this was barely covered, at least that I saw. Then again, I have just about all KMedia sites blocked after what they put Min Yoongi through.
What kind of licence do you need for an e-scooter?
