  1. >A former doctor used a rusty medical instrument to circumcise children and gave insufficient pain relief

Aaaaaand I stopped reading right there.

  2. “Previously, Mr Siddiqui was struck off the medical register and continued to carry out circumcisions privately, the jury was told.”

What kind of stupid fucking parent would take their child to this monster, especially after he was struck off the medical register.

Dr told the court he hadn’t done a circumcision for so long and that’s why he was a little rusty.

Why are circumcisions of children (with no medical necessity) still a thing anyway? It’s ludicrous chopping off part of somebody’s body before they are able to consent, unless there’s a medical emergency.

  5. I will never be able to understand the type of women who carry their child for 9 months, physically feel them growing inside of them, and on the day that they’re delivered into the world, squalling and perfect, think *”Brilliant, now time to cut off part of his dick”*.

I dare you guys to beat the Nordic countries to the punch and be the first ones to ban this crap.

    Circumcision is morally wrong.

But in Turkey it’s done at hospitals as a medical procedure by doctors in a proper hospital following proper modern medicine and science.

Why the fuck a rusty tool is being used for and why a circumcision is being done back alley style?

    >Conclusions: “This study confirms the importance of the foreskin for penile sensitivity, overall sexual satisfaction, and penile functioning. Furthermore, this study shows that a higher percentage of circumcised men experience discomfort or pain and unusual sensations as compared with the uncircumcised population.”

    >Conclusions: “The glans (tip) of the circumcised penis is less sensitive to fine touch than the glans of the uncircumcised penis. The transitional region from the external to the internal prepuce (foreskin) is the most sensitive region of the uncircumcised penis and more sensitive than the most sensitive region of the circumcised penis. Circumcision ablates the most sensitive parts of the penis.”

    >Conclusions: “In this national cohort study spanning more than three decades of observation, non-therapeutic circumcision in infancy or childhood did not appear to provide protection against HIV or other STIs in males up to the age of 36 years. Rather, non-therapeutic circumcision was associated with higher STI rates overall, particularly for anogenital warts and syphilis.”

    >Conclusions: “We conclude that non-therapeutic circumcision performed on otherwise healthy infants or children has little or no high-quality medical evidence to support its overall benefit. Moreover, it is associated with rare but avoidable harm and even occasional deaths. From the perspective of the individual boy, there is no medical justification for performing a circumcision prior to an age that he can assess the known risks and potential benefits, and choose to give or withhold informed consent himself. We feel that the evidence presented in this review is essential information for all parents and practitioners considering non-therapeutic circumcisions on otherwise healthy infants and children.”
