Possible North Korean ballistic missiles may have fallen outside Japan's EEZ Officials with the Japanese defense ministry are responding to two launches of what they believe may have been ballistic missiles. But they’re still trying to figure out exactly what happened.

The defense officials say the first launch happened on Wednesday morning. Then, about half an hour later, there was another. Japanese government officials say they believe the projectiles may have come down outside Japan’s Exclusive Economic Zone.

But Japan Coast Guard officials have not heard reports of any damage. Last Thursday, the North Koreans fired a ballistic missile, one in a series of such launches this year.
