“Knowledge gained from the Valkyrie programme combined with next-generation innovations from other research and industry teams around the world will be directed to solving problems like gathering material from the surface of the south pole of the moon.”

  2. NASA sooooo it’ll be canceled RIGHT before it’s finished. Every time without failure. Kinda sad really.

  3. I doubt it will be a humanoid robot developed by NASA that gets used in space

But using Autonomous general purpose robots such as humanoid ones would be an amazing enabler for doing things in space.

They’d allow much larger scale operations to be conducted in space, and for more complex things you could remove the need for human having to do EVA activities themselves, and instead just teleoperate a robot

Now granted, for teleoperations you’d still need a human to actually be on places like the Moon or Mars since the delay from Earth would make it much harder or outright impossible to really do anything via teleoperation
