Depends on the water, but this can be true. I grew up with a natural well that had a smell and a colour, but it was tested and genuinely fine. It just depends. Always worth checking though!

If he drinks a pint of it ,I will believe it then ,,can we get some one from a lab or collage to test it and just see ,,, the dogs won’t drink it and I trust them over a politician any day

It doesn’t matter if the taste and smell of water are pleasant or unpleasant. By definition, water is tasteless and odourless, so if you’re tasting something, you might want to check if you’re drinking actual water.
