  1. Presumably the playground is at a school in Southend so the kids can find the place they live on the map…?

    So many cities not included that are of roughly same or greater the population of Cardiff or Bristol.

  5. The list not flowing in the same direction as the location on the map (Map North to South, List South to North), is triggering my irrational OCD tendencies.

    My definitive tiers of big/important U.K. cities.

    Megacity:-
    London.

    Massive city:-
    Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool.

    Big Cities:-
    Leeds, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Nottingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Belfast.

    Larger Cities:-
    Bradford, Leicester, Brighton, Soton.

    Bigger than average:-
    Portsmouth, Bournemouth/Poole, Middlesbrough, Hull, Stoke, Coventry, Reading, Swansea, Plymouth, Preston.

  7. I’ll have to let my family in (formerly) Wales know they live in London now. Also Inverness is in Southend, Belfast is in Leeds and Dublin’s in Cardiff.
