The Japan-set historical drama “Shogun” has won the top prize for Outstanding Drama Series at the 76th Emmy Awards in the US. Japanese actor Sanada Hiroyuki played the lead role in the series and also produced it.
The drama has already won 14 awards at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards earlier this month.
