Today I honour the courage & sacrifice of the heroes who defended our skies in 1940. The Battle of Britain stands as a testament to the resilience of the RAF & the unity of a nation in its darkest hour. 15th September 2024 marks the 84th anniversary.

    Is this allowed on reddit?

I thought we all hated our country, hated Churchill and bent over to invaders.

Grandad was a navigator in the Lancasters. Still have all the logbooks, seeing who did and didn’t come back. Truly horrifying stuff. Never forget.

  3. I thought the stripes paint scheme was used for D-Day, right?
Why is it being used for the commemoration of the BoB?

  4. It’s basically when Germany had to put on hold any hope of invasion because they failed to establish air superiority.

  5. I’m Polish. My grandfather defended your skies along with many of his countrymen. The British begged us to do it because their pilots weren’t good enough and the British gov made commitments to support Poland. So my grandfather and his generation of pilots did it. Once the Germans were defeated over British skies, Churchill renaged on all his commitments and threw us under the bus.
Then, years later the beer bellied xenophobic spoilt grandchildren of the war generation, chased hard working Polish people from the Britain on a wave of nationalist hatred and post dumb post like this completely airbrushing the efforts of foreigners in helping them.
I agree, never forget. Britain is dishonorable. As are British people.

Edit: Everyone down voting this is just proving my point 🤷‍♂️
