Breaking: Two Facebook users exchange mild jibes!!!
To be fair it’s such a classically Irish answer to put up your hole at the end.
You see the lads who cut and burn turf are easy low hanging fruit. That’s why environmentalists and officials friendly to them tend to go after them.
From my experience the people who cut their own turf tend to be frugal, not go on to holidays involving planes every year, avoid expensive exotic food delivered from halfway around the planet and do not change their technological pieces like phones or laptops every time something new comes out, rather they tend to push it off as long as possible until their one breaks.
It’s only it were to happen in good faith (which it won’t) I suspect that the average turf burner will do very well in terms of comparing their individual carbon footprints to the general population.
I’m sure this pub is involved with that Facebook page that has spent the last few years spreading misinformation that turf is a renewable fuel.

Rest easy people of Tuvalu! There are a couples of rakes drinking pints in Offaly who say climate change isn’t real.
People whinging that this isn’t news.. the express isn’t really a source of news here. It’s a small free paper that’s essentially ads and pictures of grads/nights out. Facebook for the elderly who never got to grips with the internet.
I’ll tell you what though,it is a fantastic pub.
I’ll regularly light the fire rather than run the heating when I’m home alone.
I only need one room heated which is the one I’m in. And my house is so fucked that I don’t have zone control without repiping everything and thats lolmoney.
