His Holiness Bagrat Galstanyan, the figurehead of the failed movement to oust Pashinyan earlier this year, recently announced a plan to resume the efforts this fall. The next big event will be held in Hamalir on September 22.

This week Galstanyan went to meet Robert Kocharyan and Serj Sargsyan, the leaders of the factions that provided him the advisory and support for the unsuccessful revolution. Galstanyan said Levon Ter-Petrosyan has not yet agreed to meet him for "justified reasons". He also met the political leaders of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The first wave of protests ended after protesters attempted to storm the Parliament building and cracks began to form in protest leadership.

  1. This is David’s text. Personally I would call this something like Round-10 attempt to oust PM Pashinyan.

  2. It’s a game of attrition. So long as they remain the most vocal opposition, other more genuine opposition forces will find it impossible to surface and the current regime grows more entrenched which is ultimately a negative when the goal is to nurture a healthy democratic environment.
I do think we’re smarter than they are so yeah, fuck ‘em (excuse the language).

  3. Most of the telegram and social media support they had stemmed from the fact that they hadn’t met these two fucks.

No way, other than Christian extremists, will we see come down to the street.
