Sure you could make your own trail in the local park, or that field at the back of the estate.
Rope in the neighbours, get them to dress up and jump out to scare the childers, rig up a few pumpkin lanterns, fill a barrel with the cheap sweets from Aldi, and you’re sorted. Save loads of money.

That’s the first time I’ve ever seen (or noticed) child tickets being more expensive than an adult tickets.
Is that typical of “family friendly” events?

Ireland is expensive for no good reason.
One cannot have a quality life and services at low to medium budget. And no, that is not a lot to ask.
Not asking for luxury, but quality.

Was like that… Now? I simple refuse to pay for that.

Dress the kids up to look like adults for a start caller.

A few of the wealthier kids parents from the whatsapp group will go and it will snowball from there because of the pictures and kids talking in the playground etc. You can say “don’t go then” but there’s pressure on parents from kids. One of the parents will stay at home to save costs or parents will take some of the kids friends. But all the kids will be wanting to go. I’m just glad I don’t live near Malahide. Looks like boring shit. Expensive. The staff on minimum wage. The event organisers making a fortune. Gouge gouge gouge Celtic tiger/ were back babyyyy all over again. The resession can’t come soon enough! I hope the people that came up with this scam all get cancer.

The amount of overpriced junk that cowboys put on for families at the weekend in this country just goes to show that greed is alive and well in this country. Halloween brings all the ghouls out!

They threw in the first “gentle fright” for free before you even check out, now that’s good value.

Wait, adult tickets are *cheaper* than child tickets? That doesn’t look right…
If you contact them to confirm it’s a mistake it should knock €16 off. Probably still extortionate, but you’ll save something.
As others have said, you can always spend your money elsewhere.

I have never seen a child’s ticket that’s more expensive than the adult one!

They did a Christmas garden/trail in same place this year with a Christmas market out front. The queues were absolutely massive to get into it and tickets were similar pricing. Organisers are raking it in.

It really is, I would skip.
Feck that.
The bastards…they give a price option and leave it up to the individual to choose.
What a shower
Maybe it’s the same people who, y’know….
