  1. I agree here. There was a couple pivotal moments. Like when he declared that he was proud of what he did on the abortion issue.

  2. So it was written. So let it be.

But, let’s be sure. VOTE! Vote like our democracy depends on it, because it does.

  3. I think it’s sad how many people are still voting for Trump even after all of this. Listen, I’m not American, nor do I live in America. However, I have a lot of relatives that live there, and *all* of them are voting for Trump. No matter how many horrible things come out of his mouth, how many convictions he gets, how many women come out about him SA’ing them, they will go into those polls and vote for him.

Why? Because they think he’ll lower their taxes. That’s all it comes down to. Trump could have all the convictions under the sun and my relatives would still vote for him because they believe that he’ll make their own pockets fatter. They’re also voting for him because they think he won’t ‘backstab Israel’, but it’s mostly the taxes.

My relatives even admitted that Trump is a crook and he’s old and incoherent. They are 104% Black with a 4% margin of error, and they said that they know the GOP is racist, but that’s a secondary priority. This is the mindset of a lot of Trump voters. They will find one single issue and vote only based on that no matter what, which is why it’s imperative for as many people to get to the polls and vote blue as possible.

  4. kind of funny that a laaarge number of voters probably hadn’t heard anything about the pet eating stuff before the debate.

    …as if a millions voices suddenly WTFed…

  5. People seriously need to stop posting paywalled articles.

Either post it with a mirror, or don’t post it at all.

Knock on wood, since there’s still weeks to go, but after it’s all said and done, Kamala wins, and looking back, the high point of TFG’s campaign might be the week of 6/27 to 7/3 (the first debate and the immunity decision) – and it was downhill from there.

  7. Am I wrong in recalling Frank Luntz works for the Republican Party? And that he called Republican Party voters “low information voters” in a memo to the “GOP?”

  8. Doesn’t matter. Vote.   They are absolutely relying on you not turning out to vote because you think Harris has it in the bag.  You must vote.

  9. We should never underestimate the racism vote. No one thought he would beat Hilary either, but here we are.

  10. One thing to always remember about a debate is that it’s unique in politics. Both sides of the political spectrum watch a debate and there is no running commentary, it’s all raw. That means both sides have to listen to the other side without any spin. This is especially important for people on the fence or people in a household where the TV is controlled by one person. For a lot of people watching last night, this may very well have been the first time they ever heard Harris speak or the first time they heard her speak without spin from pundits. That’s important. No other political event can do that. Conventions don’t do that. Speeches don’t do that. That’s something unique to debates.

  11. He really should withdraw. Melania is committing elder abuse trotting him out there for her own personal glorification.

  12. It should never be this close with the kind of person Trump is. It’s gross there’s so many people who like him and this he’s who should be making major decisions for the country.

**Vote no matter what.** If it turns out that your vote is on the pile of “fuck you” to Trump and that said pile won? congrats, you are part of why Trump can go get fucked and piss off to court.

    Vote **regardless**.

  14. That seems a bit premature. We’re not even halfway through September yet, and we have yet to see any real post-debate polling.

That being said, I’d love for this to be true.

Dude also said Harris wouldn’t win unless she stopped making faces – that it would turn off undecided voters. The double standard for presidential behavior is ridiculous.

  16. Compared to his rally speeches, he was fairly composed. He still came off as a nut job though.

  17. Minus a few unhinged comments Trump’s debate was like one with Biden. Crazy, lies, unhinged but because Biden looked a bit worse all of that was ignored

Frank Luntz should take a bow. He helped bring the GQP to this humiliating and dangerous end.

  19. I’m not that optimistic. There are still people who are undecided after the debate from articles I’ve read. There are some really not smart people out there.

Don’t let anyone ever try to convince you not to vote. Register to vote and vote blue! We’re almost rid of these fascists let’s go!

  21. To all you people with the “doesn’t matter , vote” posts, do something useful and tell someone not on Reddit

  22. 67 million people tuned in to see one blunder after another . He was on his back foot almost from the start .
    He must have left exhausted.

Fact-checked on the pet story + on the execution of newborns (!).

He did admit last week that he lost the election. Then, some of his supporters got furious ! So when David asked him, Trump said he was being sarcastic.
It didn’t sound sarcastic to me, David said.
They asked him about Jan 6th if he had regrets or something.

Add to this the onslaught from Kamala. It was non-stop, but it was done calmly .

  23. Unfortunately, the youth vote traditionally disappoints.

“But this time is different,” people have said repeatedly.

Trump can’t break out of the 46-47% polling average. He only wins if there is low voter turnout

  25. Fuck this guy. If he told me the sky was up, I would go outside and check for myself.

Nothing is over until the votes are counted.

  26. Yeah sure they said the same thing after the Access Hollywood tape in 2016. Can’t assume anything, gotta vote like your life and country depends on it!

  27. Traditional-Shame916 on

The election is far from over. Luntz is losing it. Ignore these statements and just go out and vote.

  28. Don’t threaten me with a good time, now. Those of us with a modicum of wisdom or self-respect still know not to get our hopes up.

  29. nope; it wont even be over when election is over; the GOP will start their usual round of fraudulent fraud lawsuits. every single lever of outrage will be pulled in this dope’s interest

  30. Kamala actually reached a peak point a few day before the debate where she stopped rising in the poll, but this debate just propelled her just a little further, and the Taylor Swift endorsement definitely give her a bump.

this was Trump’s last chance to steer the momentum of this election, and now that he have signal his reluctance to do another debate, there’s not going to by any major opportunity to sway any undecided voters left. he is being slowly pushed toward a cliff.

this is where it get dangerous, he will start cheating, he will use the time he has left to rile up his cult to do dangerous and drastic thing to interfere with the election.

double, triple check your voting registration if you’re in the south because I believe there will be more purges in from now to November. this is the only way MAGA is going to win, by making voting hard for other people.

  31. Their only strategy right now is to convince democrats they have it so far in the bag they don’t need to vote.

  32. justablueballoon on

If only. NEVER count Trump out and NEVER count on the intelligence of We the people.
    Remember 2016.
