Tonight's debate is being hosted on ABC in the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, and will be moderated by anchors David Muir and Linsey Davis. It is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Eastern and last for 90 minutes. The candidates' microphones will, under rules negotiated between the Biden and Trump campaigns, be muted in the absence of "significant crosstalk". The full rules for tonight's debate can be found here on ABC's site. Per a recent NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll, "Seven-in-10 Americans say they are going to watch the first presidential debate between Vice President Harris and former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, and 3-in-10 say it will help decide their vote".
Tonight's debate is the only remaining presidential-level debate scheduled for this cycle; the Vice Presidential debate between Minnesota governor Tim Walz and Ohio senator J.D. Vance is scheduled for October 1st.

A little nervous.
We need a bingo card- free space will be “Nasty Woman” because he will say that at least a dozen times.
The pressure on Harris must be enormous. I hope she’s mentally doing well.
If you don’t have cable or an antenna, but have a smart TV, Pluto TV will be carrying the debate.
And now the anxiety can begin.
Nerve racking here.
Imagining things going something like this.
Border, border, Hannibal Lector
Bacon, EVs, alternate electors
Border some more, drill baby drill
Pardon the traitors who stormed the hill
Lie, obfuscate, lie again, deflection
Treated so bad, stolen election
Border, abortion, states should decide
Not just abortion, also child brides
MAGA, Obama, Biden’s a bore
Fight like hell or you wont have a country anymore.
How many hours til this? I live in the UK.
If she mispronounces a name, it’s over for her.
One sad side effect of muted mics is we won’t be treated to the constant barrage of Trump’s definitely totally not suspicious sniffing and snorting, that’s probably just allergies or something.
And Disney+?
I wonder if little Jimmy is gonna make an appearance at the debate? And if so, will the news media report on just how insane of a claim it is? Or will trump be sane-washed yet again?
Jittery from the iced coffee, otherwise feeling pretty okay. It’ll be what it is and we’ll push forward. I’m gonna drop by my county’s Democratic club HQ soon and specifically look into volunteering for Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. I know you can sign up online, but I honestly prefer going in person.
So is it just the Orange Dumpster Fire that gets a closing argument?
Harris will do fine. This isn’t a Biden situation. Trump is the one who is panicking. All will be well.
Is it true this has the potential to be the highest viewed debate in US history?
Bingo card calls for Trump calling Harris a loser like he did Biden in the first Debate.
I have anxiety.
Tim Walz will be hosting a debate [watch party](https://www.youtube.com/live/iRwJpRtb6C4?si=UlqAg6rmj8cHjzuX) live on his Youtube channel
I hope she calls him a rapist on TV.
Trump is sharing AI pictures of MAGA cats and himself on a plane full of cats and ducks.
…what? Is this his debate prep? Is this because of the whole “migrants eating pets” lie?
I think he’ll start strong and subdued, but as he gets his ass handed to him by a woman, of color, he’ll get more and more flustered and unhinged.
There’s no way Trump has the endurance to last 90 minutes in his current state. The only way is more stimulants and he’ll be even more unhinged.
As a non-american, I’ve been watching some vids about the electoral college and I swear at this point you guys are just creating rules to add more seasons to this show
Looking forward to tomorrow’s headline:
“Insurrectionist Donald Trump fails to overthrow presidential race favorite Vice President Kamala Harris”
Old nut vs. the next president. This should be good.
America 2024:
Kamala needs a perfect debate to not lose undecided or disgruntled Trump voters leaning towards her. Her task is to keep what she has and lock down those currently not committed to Trump.
Trump just needs to show up. Dementia? Shitting his pants? Racist comments? All good. He won’t gain or lose votes based on anything he says or does, Kamala will determine his gains.
Thanks rural America.
Do any of these candidates support better airports in the US? Cause our airports suck and can be much better
Ironic that the debate is the National Constitution Center near the Liberty Bell between two people, one of whom wants to preserve freedom and the Constitution and the other who wants to end it. I’m counting on the ghost of Ben Franklin and the other Founding Fathers to be in the room tonight to help turn the tables on Donald Trump.
ABC can you please ask him why he keeps talking about Hannibal Lecter?
I made bingo cards! 🇺🇸
