14 years doesn’t feel enough for this level of brutality. He’s essentially killed who that little girl was, and should be sentenced accordingly, life- preferably without parole.
Because if you can beat a two year old to near death you are irredeemable broken and should never be free to hurt someone again.

Remember that the UK used to have capital punishment but bleeding hearts got the punishment reformed to a lengthy jail term, then let out early for good behaviour. Quite a few of us would like the death sentence restored
