The more I see this the more I think tanks are outranged and obsolete in the face of such overwhelming saturation and economic advantages that drones and standoffs provide. Even the American M1 Abrams will take casualties in a tank war now.

Tanks are still in use because anything less armored is worse off. People sometimes lose track of how vulnerable things are in battle. One second you’re all hung ho, John Wayne, thinking you’re invincible. Next second your mrap has gone over a mine and shit went from 60 to 0 real quick.
Small cheap drones are a new form of warfare that’s only recently became possible. The militaries of the world are going to have to figure out how to counter them.
Frankly I don’t think it will be all that difficult. Ifv and point defense aa systems already exist. I doubt any armored vehicles will be able to travel without some kind of anti sml drone aa
